[Your Experiences] [Newsletters] [Books]

The forum is the place to mention your problems and see if anyone can suggest a solution or two or has advice to give or had the same or a very similar problem/experience to yours. It is also a place to go when things seem unbearable.
Support is a two way process and the forum is meant to help this along. It is a discussion and support forum and although it has been set up for the members of the (UK) Ekbom Support Group, anyone who has or knows someone with or knows about the condition is welcome to join.
The only condition is that we ask you to be responsible and courteous with your posts
If you are worried about others' behaviour on the net and on our forum then please read this AOL advice about Trolls and flame wars. We will remove members from the forum who appear anti-social and will delete obnoxious posts.
When you join the forum you can choose to receive individual emails or a daily or weekly digest which contains all the posts for that day or week.
All our posts are text only so choose this option when asked.
As you navigate the Topica site, it is worth making the page "my Topica" one of your favourites in your browser. This way you will be able to easily find your and our pages so that you can make changes (stopping emails temporarily if you go on holiday for instance).
The Forum is hosted by Topica and is one of their email lists and is called:
Ekbom Syndrome (Restless Legs) UK Support Group discussion list
It is very hard to find using their search facility on their home page so use the subscribe form below.
If you are not already a member of Topica lists they will wish you to join - go to the "sign me up" part of the page that appears - it is the usual internet process - just do not agree to anything you do not want to, this usually means scrolling to the bottom of a page or in this case quite a number of pages to "No Thanks, Continue", or "Skip" or something similar.
Approval for your joining the list may take a few hours, sometimes a few days, but in time you will get an email telling you about your approval - the delay is caused by the list owner (our web master) dealing with his email. Sorry about that. But if you have not joined Topica before they will send you a welcome note the purpose of which is to verify your email address. And then they will send you an email welcoming you if it is the first time you have signed up to them, But when you go to Topica (the page headed "my Topica"), until you are approved, our forum will not appear as a list you have joined.
Good luck and when you join don't forget to make a post to the forum and say how restless legs and you get on together. What do you do about it? How do you cope? To whom have you spoken about it? Have you had or got for others any useful advice.
Hope you enjoy talking in our forum.
